4:30 PM – 5:15 PM
Adam Ganuza, Knight Arts, and Tayyib Smith, Little Giant Creatives, discuss the inspiration, ethos and application of Little Giant Creatives recent exhibit: A Dream Deferred: Using art, technology and media to tell the story of how race and policy shape the landscape of Philadelphia and the lives of its residents.
The project, named for a poem by Harlem Renaissance writer Langston Hughes, explored what happens when people and cities are restricted from reaching their true potential. The
discussion will invite attendees to reimagine art as a civic engagement platform.
